Life Coaching FAQs
Cambridge Life Coaching
I get asked a lot of questions about how life coaching works, so I decided to answer some of the most frequently asked ones here. If there’s anything I haven’t covered, please feel free to get in touch with me on 07736 344774 for more information.
What is life coaching?
Life coaching is a collaborative and creative process designed to help you maximise your potential, gain clarity and develop insights about yourself as a person. By creating a supportive and non-judgemental environment, each session will give you the space to explore your goals in a constructive and healthy way.
Is life coaching the same as therapy?
Life coaching and therapy/counselling are not the same. Coaching shouldn’t be used as a substitute for professional mental health care. Instead, it should be seen as a partnership where I, as your coach, will help you to explore your goals and unlock your true, authentic self.
What’s the first step?
When you contact me, the first thing I’ll do is arrange a free 20-minute introductory session. During this time, we can get to know each other and discuss your goals and the areas of your life you’d like to focus on. From there, I will put together a recommended session plan.
How do I get in touch with you?
You can email me or call me on 07736 344774.
Will my sessions be over the phone or face to face?
Sessions are conducted via FaceTime, WhatsApp video or Zoom.
How do I know how many sessions to book?
In your free introductory session, I’ll be able to get a clearer idea of your goals and what you hope to get out of life coaching. I’ll be able to recommend a session plan that works around your budget and schedule.
How much does life coaching cost?
My rate is £80 per session and I also offer package options for booking blocks of five or ten sessions.
How do I pay?
I accept payment in cash or via bank transfer. You can read my full payment terms here.
Is coaching confidential?
The information shared in your coaching sessions will be kept completely confidential. There are limited exceptions to this (for example, when required to provide legal testimony or protect against harm to yourself or others) which you can read more about in the Confidentiality section of my Terms & Conditions.
Are you a qualified life coach?
Coaching in the UK is an unregulated industry and life coaches are not licensed by any professional body. There is also no standardised qualification for life coaches, however, I do proudly hold a Certificate in Coaching from the University of Cambridge. I’m also a certified psychodynamic counsellor with many years of experience helping people to lead happier and better lives.
Where can I see some testimonials?
You can read my recent client testimonials here.
Will life coaching help me improve my life?
Only you can truly improve your own life, but I will make it my mission, as your coach, to give you all the tools and guidance you need in order to achieve your goals and make positive, long-lasting changes.
